C’est un superbe livre de 288 pages, écrit en Anglais, qui nous a été concocté par l’éditeur, qui débute par une préface de Peyton REED, le réalisateur du film.
Les concept arts sont de véritables pépites artistiques, tant les peintures présentées par Andy PARK, Jackson SZE et bien d’autres artistes, sont magnifiques. On a parfois l’impression qu’elles vont prendre vie sous nos yeux.
Les multiples versions des costumes de Ant Man et The Wasp, les deux protagonistes principaux, sont mises en valeur, notamment à travers les deux personnalités de Hope et Janet Van Dyne, fille et mère, pour cette dernière. La présentation des nouvelles technologies s’effectue à travers les industries Pym Technologies, dont on retrouve les plans détaillés de l’immeuble, ses divers laboratoires et la création du tunnel Quantum, tous initiés par le professeur Hank Pym. Le laboratoire de Bill Foster est montré, ainsi que le design pour Ghost et sa chambre de régénération. On assiste également à l’immersion dans la réalité quantique, ainsi que les vaisseaux chargés de transporter les intervenants dans ce micro-organisme. On y découvre également quelques photos originales du film, des storyboards, ainsi qu’une postface servie par Andy PARK, qui sert de conclusion.
Un bien bel objet, protégé par un coffret très solide, dont les couvertures peintes subliment le travail effectué. Les détails abondent, nous plaçant au cœur de la production Marvel. Un livre essentiel pour en apprendre plus sur le film.
